In Faith Formation (Sunday School) the children learn about the Bible. Every 4 weeks we study a new topic. This month's topic is Paul.
God changed Paul's attitude toward Christians, and Paul became a follower of Christ. This is taken from Acts 9:1-22, Acts 22:1-16, Romans 8:38-39, and 2 Corinthians 5:17. The verse for this lesson is from Acts 22:15 "You will be his witness to all people. You will tell them what you have seen and heard."
Paul was first called Saul. He did not like people who followed Jesus, and would hurt them. But one day while walking along a road, he was blinded. His friends took him to a man called Ananias, who was a follower of Jesus. Ananias healed Paul. So then Paul realized Jesus' power and stopped being mean to Jesus' followers, He began to preach and teach about Jesus.
God calls each one of us to be followers of Jesus, to be nice to all people, even when it is difficult. God will always be there during those times to help us.
Let us pray: Lord, help us to be nice and to follow what we have learned in Sunday School and Church, even when it is difficult. We know that you are always with us. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

FALL FUN FAITH FORMATION for children 3 years through 6th grade begins September 19th. Please Join Us!!!
We will meet in the courtyard on the 2nd floor of the education wing every Sunday at 9:30am, concurrent with the 9:30am indoor worship service. We will focus on a different Bible story every four weeks while rotating through crafts, games, songs, and theater activities designed to reinforce the principal concepts of the story. We will finish in time to bring the children down to the sanctuary to commune with their family and participate in the conclusion of the service. Once a month we will also share a musical offering with the congregation at this time.
If you would like to assist with Rotation Faith Formation either as the required 2nd adult present (no planning or participation required) or by leading a rotation, please sign up for the Sunday of your choice on the volunteer bulletin board by the office or contact Gretchen Walter (firstname.lastname@example.org).
