EVERY SATURDAY
from 10:00 - 11:00 am
For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me…
“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
What: We distribute groceries to those who need it each Saturday. The groceries include a 25lb box of non-perishable foods from the York County Food Bank, eggs, and fresh produce.
When: Each Saturday morning from 10 – 11 a.m., rain or shine.
How: We have a contactless system set up. Most people drive up and we load parcels into their vehicles. Some people walk up and may carry their parcels. All people involved wear masks and maintain social distancing.
Who: Anyone is eligible for a food parcel. We don’t have requirements to receive a food kit. Many people get food kits to give to their homebound neighbors.
Different groups from the church take turns volunteering, but any member is welcome to help. Members ages 4 to 80+ have volunteered in this ministry. If you’d like to volunteer, or get more information, please contact Deb Sowers or Nancy Smith.
